New Patriotic Media for Kids

For a number of years now, I've lamented the precipitous decline in children's books/media since my childhood in the 1980's.  Particularly, examples of media that supports traditional family values and American patriotism have been sorely lacking.  (This is the primary reason my kids and I sit down once a week to watch old episodes of Bravestarr, She-Ra, the Superfriends, etc.)

Jason Mattera recently reported on the re-emergence of patriotic children's books/media from, of all places, Hollywood.  The article highlights the book Tex the T-rex by comedian Allen Covert, but discusses some other titles as well.  Covert's book was produced through the efforts of Cherry Tree--a company I intend on making some purchases from in the future.
